Handsome bunch, isn’t it? Thank you, Sharon McDonell for taking this photo and emailing it to me!

My friend and fabulous bass player Gary Lalonde (Honeymoon Suite) showed up to play as well as did bluesy drummer Joe Naszadi (Blues Highway) and Toronto bass player Doug Bartlett live @ The Brock Pub in Brockville last Friday night – lots of fun on stage… so many really good people around, we should do this more often.

Well, tomorrow we have another occasion, coz we will be live again with my Bluesband and a fabulous singer – and guess what, she’s a babe, too!

We start at six at the Atomic Rooster on Bank, check the gigs to the left for the details. Come on down, if all goes well, Canada should have quite the reason to celebrate… :)

Brian Downey 4 and special guests 2nite @ The Gad’s Hill in Merrickville

Tonight @ The Gad's Hill in Merrickville, tomorrow @ The Brock Pub in Brockville

Tonight @ The Gad's Hill in Merrickville, tomorrow @ The Brock Pub in Brockville

Great singers, great bodies, I mean buddies – don’t miss out on what promises to be a fab nite, people.

These two multi-talented hotties are both gonna sing with my quartet tonight in Merrickville, and on Friday in the Brock Pub in Brockville. Check my calender to the left if you need details.

Come on down, come on out – life’s never been better than right now!

Looking forward to kick off the season in M, actually – and the food, mmmh!

See you folks there,

Brian

Nancy Wilson Sings

just chilling here and checking some old standards on youtube – just wanned to also mention how great of a night that was, yesterday at Tucson’s – a lot of really great live bands, great sound by Mark Hall – u really know that room. But now to my findings of this afternoon:

Not only was she gorgeous and still is at 70 but one of the great singers of the 20th century – not America, not Canada – there are no countries, really – wait for the CINNNG at 3 min 52 seconds – back off the speakers if u are fond of your membranes. Effing mother of a singing biatch!

Back on the scene – next live gigs

A late Happy New Year, fellow shovel troopers, hope Santa has been nice to you, if not, well, we will be right here
on Friday with my Blues Band at the Brock Pub in Brockville and
on Saturday with The Mud Boys featuring a bunch of different bands at Tucson’s Roadhouse in Ottawa (check their schedule for details).
See you guys over there!

Fred and Rita

I love this. Always have. When I first watched these movies and dance scenes on the first fifties’ televisions, my jaw just dropped.

Prima, prima!

one of the best acts ever I dare say – Louis Prima certainly saw the big picture.
