My heart goes out to my friend and musical partner Billy Mitchell. Sending you all my good energies for your recovery, Billy.

As a sign of my great admiration for Billy Mitchell I’d like to post this excerpt of a bunch of recordings I made while playing at The Rainbow with The Lap Band. Billy used to sing this beautiful composition in a really unique way. We put on some grand shows together… such a talent, fantastic voice and a perfect natural on the B3 – enjoy!

My girl friend insisted on some sort of biography, so I told her sum stuff, and we actually videotaped that. We hope 2 have that up by the end of the month, so check back here, and taaanx 4 your interest!

The Brian Downey Trio plays every Friday night from 6-9 pm @ The Keystorm Pub, Brockville, 2 Court House Ave. Sometimes even longer! Charming server and journalist Courtney Willard took this picture in January:

Yes, that’s the smiling faces of 1 of the many incarnations of the Brian Downey 4 – we wanted 2 thank you all very much for your true-hearted following – that’s 3 years of swinging live entertainment @ The Brock Pub 4 me – it is the delight of my week 2 see u lovely people and your kids dance and laugh 2 “all that Jazz” coming from my stage – I sure am having a ball, and so r all my musicians who would like 2 wish u a very merry time this season!
Special thanx goes out 2 the indefatigable Cindy-Lou’s (awesome decorations!), Kelly, Kevin, Bob, Gord and Shawn – may your presents be plentiful!
Please note: on the 24th will be no live entertainment @ The Brock, neither on the 31st. At sum point my calendar 2 the left should show, when we gonna pick it up again!
